JetBeam RRT-2 Raptor beamshoot comparison

These beamshoots are from my RRT-2 Raptor review Google translated, but because this review is in danish it is not included here.

DSC_5530

Here I will compare the RRT-2 with the following lights: Dereelight CL1H V4, Fenix TK11, JetBeam TiM R2, OLight M20 Warrior, JetBeam RRT-2 Raptor, JetBeam RRT-1 Raptor, Fenix TK20, OLight M30 Triton, Fenix TA30.

BrightnessMax

This graph shows total light output on max.. Both TK20 and CL1H has a warm led, that is a bit lower in output, TK20 is also limited by batteries. M30 is a quad die led and has the absolute highest output, but as can be seen later, not the best throw.

Brightness

Combining all the different brightness settings in a log graph and it is easy to see the different in max. and min. and how the jumps are spaced (Equal distance means equal visual impression). The RRT-1 and RRT-2 has about the same visual jump between low and medium as between medium and high, other lights has a visual larger jump from low to medium that from medium to high. The TiM can be adjusted to anything between min., max. and strobe on its ”low” settings.

BrightnessLux

The combination of a highly focused light and a high light output gives a light with very good throw. On the above graph I have measured the lux at the center of the beam at a distance of 4 meters. RRT-1 easily outthrows all the other lights. Looking only at lights with small reflector, the RRT-2 has the best throw, the quad die M30 does not have much throw.

This light has a fixed high setting and a setting than can be adjusted to anything between min. and max. This light also exists in a more normal version called Jet-III M.

Notes
All measurements and beamshoots was done with a 18650 battery in the light.

I got the light from here.
